About

Informed Edits is Lynnette Morrow, a freelance non-fiction copy-editor and writer. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from New Mexico State University, Lynnette worked in a variety of roles in human resources and operations management before shifting her career to editing.

Lynnette earned a Specialized Certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego Extension. She has extensive experience editing engineering proposals and reports as well as business documents, presentations, and manuals. She does academic editing for topics in business, the humanities, and the social sciences. In addition, she edits memoirs and biographies, white papers, e-commerce websites, and blogs.

She is a member of ACES: The Society For Editing and an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute for Editing and Proofreading (formerly the Society for Editors and Proofreaders or SfEP).

As an American living in the UK, she is fluent in the differences between US and UK English and is comfortable editing in either. She also enjoys working with non-native English speaking (ESL/EFL) authors.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, theatre, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and drinking coffee and wine (not at the same time). Her goal for 2020 is to edit a travel guide or travelogue.
